See how my garden grows

Everything growing nicely, safeguarded by wire

The peas are coming up around the mini rose and alyssum

The mint is exploding (I've already cut it once) and some peas are sprouting, but
I haven't seen the African Daisy viney things yet. I don't think. Unless they look like peas.

I didn't think I put peas in the pansies, but I guess I did.

The lemon basil did not recover from being dug up by the squirrels, but
the chive seeds are sprouting a bit.

All the morning glories and nasturtiums finally sprouted. Or most of them
anyways. That corner is a new thing I'm trying and it gets even less sun than
the rest of this spot.

The tulips are almost finished. The hyacinths never did bloom. Oh well.
The peas here have sprouted, as has a lot of groundcover I didn't dig out
thoroughly, so I now need to weed.

Different tulips

This side turned out to be a sort of pink with green stripes. Very tasty.

The garden is finished!

The garden is finished! I just have to put the hummingbird feeder up, which I will do tomorrow, and when the bulbs are finished, I will probably throw some morning glory and nasturtium seeds into the beds. There's also the suspense of wondering if the squirrels will make it past the wire or not...
The pot at the back has alyssum and morning glory seeds. The bare patch has nasturtium and morning glories, and the big pot morning glories. I will hopefully be able to take the wire down once the pots have grown over and the vines are trailing up the trellis.

The tulips are getting ready to bloom and there are johnny-jump-up and sweet pea seeds planted. The wire is buried, so the squirrels can't get to the bulbs, but they can still take out the seeds...

All the pots are planted - in the back corner peppermint and an African flower vine, at the back to the right alyssum, a mini rose, and sweet pea seeds, violas in the middle pot, and herbs - two kinds of basil, chives, and chives seeds -  in the front pot.

Hopefully this is the right amount of wire. Enough to discourage the squirrels, but not so much that they decide there's something exciting and worth the struggle to get in.

The hummingbird feeder is to the left under my big window. That's my small window you can see, by the way.

First planting of the garden

First planting. This took a couple hours and about $100 for all the dirt, pots, mulch, and plants
This is the right side garden. I haven't quite decided what to do with the far pot - I might or might not plant the alyssum in it. I haven't decided whether or not to put another pot in the empty spot either.

The herb pot. Aristotle basil, lemon basil, chives, and chive seeds

Violas - several shades

Peppermint and black-eyed susan vines. I don't know if they'll grow or not

The bulbs are still growing, so I probably won't add much to these until they're done

Only one daffodil, but the tulips (at least, I think they're tulips) are all budding

The finishing touch - lots of wire until the plants take root and cover the pots
