Nasturtiums in the rain

I loved the way my nasturtium leaves looked in the rain, but it didn't really come out in the pictures.

So much beautiful green in the garden

The herb pots are finally filling up - next year I want to add a third pot and separate the basil and oregano.

The morning glories are a bit out of control - I think just one pot of morning glories next year, and something else in the front pot. Maybe a whole pot of chives....

You can barely see the gnome a neighbor generously donated. I am ok with this. Next year I want to put some trellises against the rock for the nasturtiums to climb up and possibly the nasturtiums

Amaryllis! It's ALIVE

Winter is long, cold, and eventually all that dirty grey and brown gets on your nerves (yes, some parts are white. some small parts). Obviously, the solution is to grow plants in your window. Unless your window faces north. But I persevere! With some success! I am imagining a little conversation...
Amaryllis One: "growing, growing, growing" (hums quietly)...WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?
Amaryllis Two: "flowering. like we're supposed to"
Amaryllis One: "you're not tall enough! you're supposed to grow tall first!" *hyperventilates*
Amaryllis Two: "screw that. i'm gonna flower and get it over with"
Amaryllis One: *leans far, far away* "why am I stuck with all the crazy plants?!"

Two days after I took this picture all the plants said "we're done" and fell flat. Oh well. It happens with paperwhites.

Yes, that is a squirrel's butt. Gotta have some entertainment.
